TOWN OF LINDEN

BOARD MEETING MINUTES

October 12, 2022

 

Meeting was called to order at 7:02 pm by Chairman Dean Liddicoat.

Present:  Dean Liddicoat, Mark Sieling, Jeff Lindner, Michelle Wendhausen,  Sam Palzkill.

 Others Present:   Tonja Hesselberg and Mike Wagner from MPRS, Jeff Oxnem and Liz Larson

Confirmed compliance with open meeting law.

Minutes from the September meeting were approved on a motion by Mark, second by Jeff.

Treasurer’s report was approved on a motion by Jeff, second by Mark. 

Members of the Mineral Point Rescue Squad presented a $14,086.00 request for funding for 2023.  They explained that they have one full time and two part time employees, answer 500 calls/year and bill approx. $1150/call.  After the representatives left, there was discussion by the Board members ending with a desire to see a MPRS budget.  Tabled.

Approval for Kevin Liddicoat’s house on a motion by Mark, second by Jeff.

The contract with ATC was received and approved on a motion by Mark, second by Jeff.  Sam will forward.

Edmund speed signs – Board reviewed speed printout from the data collected by  the sign.  Mark will continue to review costs of the Township purchasing one.

Edmund siren – Tabled.  Mark will call the Chief Deputy, Austen Duerst.

Edmund lights – one pole is in, another is being added.  An additional light will be placed on an existing pole.

Purchase of a notice board for the outside of the building approved on a motion by Jeff, second by  Mark

Bills for the cement work from Eggers Enterprises LLC and Brunett Built were reviewed.  The Clerk was given the OK to pay once the project is finished.

Jeff Oxnem – The new truck chassis will be ready by November 6th .   One LED has been hung in the garage above the bench and the requested meeting room outlet to accommodate the ExpressVote are done.  He will take care of landscaping where the bushes were removed for the concrete project.  Discussion if the Village is going to take care of the road repair between the concrete and the road.  The Township will fill the area with gravel temporarily.

Time for budget meeting was discussed and will be set by Sam pending completion of his preparation work.
