BOARD MEETING MINUTES

                                                     MARCH 12, 2023

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chairman Dean Liddicoat.

Present:  Dean Liddicoat, Mark Sieling, Jeff Lindner, Michelle Wendhausen,  Sam Palzkill.

 Others Present:    Josh Husom, Mel Masters, Liz Larson

Confirmed compliance with open meeting law.

Minutes from the February 15, 2023 meeting were approved   on a motion by Mark, second by Jeff.

Financial information approved on a motion by Jeff, second by Mark.

Daniel Maughan had asked to be on the agenda regarding concerns about the condition of his road.  He did not appear and no discussion or action was taken.

Susan from Rural Mutual rescheduled her visit

Josh Husom – on his first report as Patrolman – noted that many of the road signs are faded and should be replaced.  The Ford truck is at Larry’s for an oil change and to explore a “humming” sound.  The old tandem truck has been washed in preparation for sale.  It is not idling properly.  The new tandem will be used to plow snow to break it in.  The boom mower is here and Mark with crew will help assemble.   The camera at the dumpster was discussed and needs new batteries and to be linked to Josh’s phone.

Mel Masters – Iowa County has offered CTH QQ for sale for $30,000 per mile.  Shared snow plowing with the County was discussed at the recent Towns meeting.  There is a temporary hot mix plant at the Swiggum quarry to supply material for the Hwy 39 project which is to begin in April.

Next meeting set for April 12, 2023.
