BOARD MEETING MINUTES

November 15, 2023

 

Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Chairman Dean Liddicoat. 

Present: Dean Liddicoat, Mark Sieling, Jeff Lindner, Shelly Wendhausen, Sam Palzkill, Josh Husom.

Others Present:  Liz  Larson, Stosh Potocki, Shanna Gundlach, Kathy Ladd

Confirmed compliance with open meeting law.  Posted November 13, 2023 at the Town hall and on the Town website.

Minutes from the October 11, 2023 Board meeting were approved on a motion by Jeff, second by Mark.

Treasurer’s report approved on a motion by Mark, second by Jeff

Shanna Gundlach was present by request to discuss the 2024 contract for the Iowa County Humane Society.  After questions and discussion with the Board, it was agreed that the contract be re-written to eliminate the ICHS taking cats from the Township.

Liability Insurance – per the recommendation and after reviewing quotes from Rural Insc, the Board voted to increase director coverage to 5 million and to leave  the Worker’s Compensation coverage at 100,000/500,000/100,000

No action on the Pattern weather tower as there had not been a response from Pattern to the email.

The final 2024 budget was approved on a motion by Mark, second by Jeff.

The Board set charges to be billed for  repairs to roads:

   Loader - $150/hour
   Manpower - $25/hour/per person
   Material – at Township cost

   Snowplowing with endloader - $150/hour

Road – Delta 3 Engineering preparing a plan for either Roaster Road.  There may be an acquisition problem.

Josh – InterCon is burying a line thru John Trace property.  They will install a new electrical service in the dump shed and want an easement thru Township property.

Pattern tower – late comment.  Stosh stated the proposed tower on the Tibbits property is not far enough from the property lines.  He will be sending another email.
